“The coconuts of Tioman.” was penned precisely on 27 August, 2004 10:34 PM, which happened to be a Friday. but you know what? dullneon.com's random notes has now moved to a new location.

Just got back from a rather pleasant trip to Tioman but there were some unexpected moments. We had to sit through a rather unsettling broadcast of The Perfect Storm during the boat ride there. After which, my beloved 13 year old Casio digital chronograph watch died on me the moment I stepped onto the island. There were other episodes, like when I slipped on a wet rock on the beach & bruised my toes, had to put up with several brusque morons & their impish kids from hell who descended on our resort and also when we (repeatedly) endured the fractured crooning of the in-house singer dude, whose entertainment value was painfully more comical than vocal.
All that while, despite all the warnings, I never saw a single coconut fall. Not one. There are never warnings for the stuff that actually happens.
this was published on 27 August in the year 2004, which was a Friday. anyway, all this is old and archived. everything has been now been moved, so head on down to the revamped almost daily random notes (unless of course you like this old stuff too much to part with it).
