Grey skies & online consumer therapy.

There’s nothing like lazing around at home all day long on a slow, dreary Sunday and buying stuff or earmarking stuff to buy online. Here’s some stuff bookmarked for a time when I have access to enough excess cash :

  • The ThermalTake Coolpad would be a nice, sleek and, quite literally, cool replacement for my RoadTools Coolpad, which now looks rather bland. (Why can’t these people think of a name other than Coolpad?)
  • This must be one of the coolest contemporary timepieces ever - a rather simple watch with a 512MB USB Flash drive to fulfil any kind of spy gadget fantasy. But this Bond-esque fetish would set you back by about 200 Euros.
  • I might have a tough time explaining to my very literal folks that I don’t actually have a problem with my sexual orientation if I wear this T-shirt. But hey, what the hell… it’s hilarious.
  • With one of these PlusDecks, you can listen to the 80s music still marooned on cassettes on your computer. The ultimate retro-fit for your computer — what can I say.
  • If you crave for the nice clicking sound and feel of the older Mac keyboards, the Matias Tactile Pro sounds like an excellent keyboard replacement. And you could also get a MacMice to replace the single-click lump of a mouse that Apple ships with it’s computers.
  • Some interesting, chic and rather pricey non-Ikea shelves and cabinets.
  • One of the most brilliant & engaging TV shows ever aired - Sports Night. Close to 200 reviews from viewers on the Amazon page and they’re all glowing write-ups that shower the show with words of praise. We will wait and see if I am moved to write one myself once I watch all 45 episodes on DVD.
