Huygens step for humankind.

The Huygens probe (named after a 17th century mathematician & astronomer) landed on Saturn’s largest moon, Titan — the furthest a human-made craft has ever landed. The lush, (obviously man made but nonetheless) beautiful illustration that accompanied the story would probably look perfect as cover art for almost any Isaac Asimov novel.
