Media of irony.
Probably everybody knows about Jason Kottke quitting his day job to become a pro blogger, funded by mainly his readers’ contributions. Just 2 days later, Singapore’s (somewhat) preeminent newspaper decided to make their online content available exclusively to paid subscribers. Who knows if this is the precursor to the future of news online… I don’t really care as long as ’beebs stays free.
