“Easily create crop marks in Freehand.” was penned precisely on 6 November, 2005 01:54 PM, which happened to be a Sunday. but you know what? dullneon.com's random notes has now moved to a new location.
Being a (proficient) user of both Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Freehand, there have always been times when I keep wishing a particular feature or tool from either software was available in the other. A case in point would be creating crop marks for object — it is dead easy to create crop marks in Illustrator, but Freehand always required a few more keystrokes and mouse clicks to achieve the same effect. That’s when I discovered a Freehand Xtra, written by Boris Jerenec called BJ cropmarks, that creates crop marks for you in a snap, with a helluva lot more options. And it is freely downloadable.
On a slightly tangential topic, Freehand’s future probably is uncertain given its absence from the Studio 8 line-up, which is a pity.
this was published on 6 November in the year 2005, which was a Sunday. anyway, all this is old and archived. everything has been now been moved, so head on down to the revamped almost daily random notes (unless of course you like this old stuff too much to part with it).
