“Hey man, slow down… slow down.” was penned precisely on 18 January, 2006 10:44 PM, which happened to be a Wednesday. but you know what? dullneon.com's random notes has now moved to a new location.
Daily life has become a cacophony of experiences that disable our senses, disconnect us from one another and damage the environment… But deep experience of the world — meaningful and revealing relationships with the people, places and things we interact with — requires many speeds of engagement, and especially the slower ones.
Leading the charge for slow design are the designers of the not-for-profit slowLab. What they promote is not about the lack of speed, but about thought & deliberation as a crucial part of the process, much like the difference between a pencil sketch on a paper versus a quick scamp on the computer.

this was published on 18 January in the year 2006, which was a Wednesday. anyway, all this is old and archived. everything has been now been moved, so head on down to the revamped almost daily random notes (unless of course you like this old stuff too much to part with it).
