I hardly knew you.
Somewhere in late October last year, on a routine reading of my newsreader, La Idler had posted she might have dengue. For months, there were no updates on her site and I assumed she had uprooted & settled in the UK (as she had been planning on doing this year).
While randomly surfing Tomorrow.sg today, I discovered to my great shock that La Idler had passed away more than 2 months ago on November 30, 2005 after a four week struggle against Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP), a rare blood disorder.
I never even knew, until now, that her real name was Sondra, but I do feel extremely sad there was no chance to say goodbye.
