Spamvertising.
What a bunch of idiots — some ad agency decided to pollute Wikipedia in the name of marketing, at least for a while. This kind of bullshit used to be in the form of idiotic agency people (whom I have personally known) ‘seeding’ forums and newsgroups with mind-bendingly original posts like “Hey, check out this cool website for Product X!”. It has now evolved into more dishonest tricks on websites with far greater reach than a typical topic specific online forum & unfortunately, it will keep evolving… all in the name of creating ‘buzz’.
