BirdieSync.

In the never-ending quest to find alternatives to (the slow and cumbersome) Outlook as my default email client on Windows, I stumbled upon Birdiesync. It synchronizes Windows-powered mobile phones and devices with Thunderbird and Lightning (and even Sunbird), via the default Microsoft ActiveSync software.

After installing BirdieSync, it just wouldn’t work for me, even after some blind tweaking and hopeful rebooting. I followed all the instructions (I think) and the sync options just didn’t turn up as they should have in ActiveSync. Maybe it was my phone… maybe it was just me. I’ll probably give it another shot again when Outlook starts to piss me off again (which is always only a matter of time).
