Being friends with Mrs Eaves.

Mrs Eaves, the cat slacking on the couch

After thinking about it for a long time, The Wife and I decided to try and get a cat over the weekend. We picked up this beautiful, half-Siamese one year old female from a lady who rescues and shelters abandoned cats and we called her Mrs Eaves. (Yes, we named her after that elegant font.)

She was a gentle, intelligent and very pretty cat. Rather vocal too, she had a very even temper and was a joy to have around. Alas, my stupid allergies kicked in — my eyes started watering and my nose was dripping uncontrollably. We had to make a decision, and so after just two days and one night, with very heavy hearts, we very reluctantly had to give up Mrs Eaves.

We returned her back to the lady’s shelter just a few hours ago. My eyes are still watery but this time, it’s definitely not from the allergy. The Wife and I miss her terribly, but there was little chance of me leading a normal life with Mrs Eaves at home.

If there’s anyone out there who is at all interested in taking a look at Mrs Eaves (or any other cat), please drop me a line at hello(at)dullneon.com and I’ll gladly help you along. She’s sterilized, fully vaccinated and would be a great pal to have around if you are looking for a docile cat.

Goodbye, Mrs Eaves. We hope you get a good home soon. I’m sorry we couldn’t give you one.
