I’ve been a little behind on some Gmail marketing blitz that Google has been up to recently.
They’ve got this quite nice “Gmail: A Behind the Scenes Video” thing, where you contribute to a collaborative video that shows email going around the world. No less exciting is Google’s tie-up with Threadless for a competition to create a T-shirt around the theme of “Connect”. You can join in too, though you have only 1 or 2 days left to jump in.
Nice work from Google using quality sites (even though YouTube is their own) to drive user generated content, while keeping control over what gets ‘published’.
