Nice typographic/infographic video from Athletics and Good Magazine, but honestly, it’s not the most ground breaking motion graphics we have seen, is it?

Given his age, John McCain is more likely to have invented the Phonograph or something.
I saw the trailer for it long ago and I absolutely loved it. I am so glad they have stuck it on YouTube for everyone to watch. Awesome, awesome illustrations and fantastic animation work.

Possibly the most anticipated mainstream movie event of the year, The Dark Knight is also the first Batman movie without the word ‘Batman’ in the movie title. This new installment is also a lot more challenging and complex than even Batman Begins, so it goes without saying that your 10 year old niece or nephew might struggle to keep up with it. (Try explaining the ending!)
While everyone is gushing over Heath Ledger’s portrayal of The Joker, I actually thought Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two Face was just superb.

Robert Downey Jr’s all the rage now, though I hope Will Farrell’s role won’t reduce the movie to slapstick comedy.
Nice suspenseful editing for the highly acclaimed 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days.
So sweet…

Did you know George Lucas and his family made cameos in Revenge of the Sith? Are you at all surprised? And more importantly, do you really care?
If you do, you can get the action figures of the Lucas family characters from the Star Wars Shop.
Absolutely brilliant.

Teeth is a movie about a teenage girl who realises she has a carnivorous vagina. So tell me, how do you not watch a movie with a premise like that?
A true B-movie, it’s absolutely cringe-worthy and funny at the same time. It is a comic horror movie, if you like. Just a word of warning for guys: although the movie is about a girl who bites off the heads of (not very pleasant) men, it still may be a little queasy to watch.

Iron Man’s a great comic book adaptation but whatever you do, don’t leave until the credits are over — there’s a real nice extra scene.
I’m really holding back from spilling a spoiler here, but one of my tags may give it away.
It’s hard to believe this film was made in 1944. What a piece of work! So slickly done, it could have been made in 2004 (except for the opening credits and all).
This electrifying film was where “prominent jazz musicians of the 1940’s get together for a rare filming of a jam session”. It features Lester Young, Red Callender, Harry Edison, Marlowe Morris, Sid Catlett, Barney Kessel, Joe Jones, John Simmons, Illinois Jacquet, Marie Bryant, Archie Savage and Garland Finney, and was directed by Gjon Mili.
I wish there was some way of seeing this on the big screen…
