The most unusual of clocks, one rotation of the Life Clock is equivalent roughly to an entire lifetime and each number represents age. It is a regular clock mechanism which is electronically slowed down to match the life length of (presumably European) women.
I think I’ll stick with a regular clock at home, thank you.

Mr Jones makes great looking timepieces that are designed to ‘provoke reflection about the watch and it’s cultural functions’. If you are in the market for a super precise time telling watch that looks great, I believe you’re out of luck with these limited edition watches.

One of the more technically advanced gadgets in its day almost 70 years ago, the Jaeger LeCoultre Compass looks as like a very, very polished piece of workmanship. It cost about £40 pounds in 1937 but today, this timeless beauty can fetch about US$2,000.

You can trust the Japanese to come up with something whacky like a Vacuum Cleaner USB mouse. It costs ¥1980 (about S$30) and it might help clean up your dirty surfing habits, whatever they might be.

This quite slick looking device from Belkin connects to your high-definition video sources (like Blu-ray players, HD set-top boxes, Wii, PS3 or Xbox consoles) and wirelessly transmits the video and audio around your house. Thanks to the FlyWire, you can hide away all your devices and cables and have your HD TV hang grandly on your wall.

The Chumby has a touch screen, a 350mhz processor and a bunch of other hardware that’s held together by Linux. It displays widgets from the interweb, plays internet radio, has WiFi, an accelerometer, a squeeze sensor, small speakers, microphones and USB ports built-in. It is completely customizable and the developers have laid bare the hardware and software. It’s extremely cool, though I do find it a little ugly in that cute way. It has people raving about it and it costs $179.95.

I’m one of those guys who has to clean his keyboard and mouse quite regularly (to offset the careless eating and snacking habits while using the computer, but I digress). The washable Belkin mouse looks like a promising piece of equipment that would save me a few cans of compressed air when it comes to cleaning time. I wonder if they have it in black…
