Yeah, I am almost a day late on the news but I just saw the repeat of the Brazilian Grand Prix and what a fantastic moment for Lewis Hamilton! Winning the championship at the last corner of the last race of the season must have been a nerve-shredding experience, to say the least. (Note to Hamilton: Now that you’re a true rock star, please ditch that tranny-looking girlfriend for another.)

But let’s also spare a thought for…

• Poor old Filipe Massa, who must be feeling awful, and the entire Ferrari team, who thought they had won and were jumping for joy before realising Hamilton’s final position.
• Poor old Timo Glock who is probably being vilified in Brazil for ‘throwing the race’. The thing is, he would have lost the position anyway if he had pitted for wet tyres.
• Poor old David Coulthard who, on his last race, crashed out on the first lap.

What a race the Singapore Grand Prix turned out to be last night! Bright lights, super glossy cars, loud screaming noises, frightening crashes, pit lane disasters — just awesome! Despite Fernando Alonso winning the first ever night race, Lewis Hamilton benefited the most among all the front runners for the title with Felipe Massa suffering a horror pit stop.

I’m already looking forward to next year!

Almost every year, Nike comes up with new designs and technology that help runners run faster, more comfortably and with less injury. Now, they have a runner’s belt which Batman would have been proud of — the Nike Running Hydration Pack is a great lightweight utility belt for really long distance runners. The adjustable belt comes with three six-ounce (about 175 millilitres) water bottles, a multi-purpose pouch (that can just about fit an iPod classic) and a small zipper compartment to store your utilities.

What a performance again from Usain Bolt at the 200 metres race! At 19.30 seconds, he destroy the 15 year world record in some style. His running speed of 37.3km/h for this race was actually faster than peak hour traffic on some Singapore roads!

The difference between the fastest and slowest car is perhaps three or even four seconds per lap. So the fastest driver in the slowest car would still be nowhere, whereas the slowest driver in the fastest car would be quite successful.
