The Nike Running Hydration Pack for the long, winding road
Almost every year, Nike comes up with new designs and technology that help runners run faster, more comfortably and with less injury. Now, they have a runner’s belt which Batman would have been proud of — the Nike Running Hydration Pack is a great lightweight utility belt for really long distance runners. The adjustable belt comes with three six-ounce (about 175 millilitres) water bottles, a multi-purpose pouch (that can just about fit an iPod classic) and a small zipper compartment to store your utilities.

We’ve seen evidence for this water-ice before in observations by the Mars Odyssey orbiter and in disappearing chunks observed by Phoenix last month, but this is the first time Martian water has been touched and tasted.

The battles of yesterday were fought over land… Those of the present center on oil. But those of the future, a future made hotter and dryer by climate change in much of the world, will focus on a much more basic resource: water.

'And she’s hooked to the silver screen // But the film is a saddening bore'
Stunning pictures from the Phoenix lander — Mars seems like a peaceful hang-out for a recluse but the question still remains unanswered.

The Swiss-made sQuba is the world’s first real submersible car that is good on the roads, good underwater and good for the environment
Remember James Bond’s Lotus Esprit which could travel underwater back in 1977? Well, the real deal is at hand with the Swiss made Rinspeed sQuba. The all-electric convertible sports car is going to be launched at next month’s Geneva Motor Show, where we may find out if scuba gear comes standard with the car.

(I also have other questions like if the car would have airbags or waterbags, and if the engine can ever get flooded – I guess we’ll have to wait and see.)

A water-resistant mouse that can be washed and can endure spills
I’m one of those guys who has to clean his keyboard and mouse quite regularly (to offset the careless eating and snacking habits while using the computer, but I digress). The washable Belkin mouse looks like a promising piece of equipment that would save me a few cans of compressed air when it comes to cleaning time. I wonder if they have it in black…

Hello

Most folks who visit random notes seem to hang around for about 9.326 minutes on average.

My name is and I just learned that the hash sign is also known as an octothorp. It's exactly this kind of unnecessary information works its way into conversations that scares people away from me. Not that I am really complaining though…

Random Ho-Hum

“…so let it go, and so fade away…”
