More than five years ago, I tried to get the (then new) Singapore VoIP software Pfingo to work on my (then new) O2 Xphone. The Pfingo software for that phone just didn’t work and I gave up, despite having some free call credits.

You know what changed with Pfingo between then and now? Absolutely nothing.

A few days ago, I got a reminder my Pfingo credits were expiring and I decided to give it a shot again on my Android phone. I got one step further with Pfingo than five years ago when I managed to install the software into my phone. I could log into Pfingo Bounce but it didn’t/couldn’t/wouldn’t do jack shit. I couldn’t even log into Pfingo Talk to try out the call quality. The disappointment was such that I didn’t even have the energy to rate it down on the Android Market.

So long and Pfarewell, Pfingo. I wouldn’t install your app again, even if I was paid money to do so.
