It has been a while since I listened to such an infectious sounding album so many times. I only recently discovered Portugal. The Man thanks to Last.fm and the band’s excellent Guns & Dogs video. I could only find their 2009 album, The Satanic Satanist but it was a superb discovery nonetheless (and it happily contained the excellent Guns & Dogs track). John Gourley‘s singing is excellent as are his watercolour drawings. They’re a really good band and The Satanic Satanist is a really good, catchy album. I am going home tonight to buy/download their latest album, In the Mountain In The Cloud.
