To be honest, I’ve never really liked LinkedIn all that much – bland interface, clumsy navigation and a very unimaginative profile page. And I’ve also felt a little aggrieved they’ve gone more Facebook-ish when I think they should have been more like about.me. In fact, LinkedIn took the Facebook route even when pissing people off with invasive advertising units.
The Swissmiss was absolutely gushing about Zerply yesterday as a good replacement for LinkedIn and I signed up for an account. You’ve got to agree with her — Zerply is beautifully designed and they get most things right. You can choose beautifully designed themes for your public profiles and they look just great. There aren’t too many people on Zerply just yet and I personally find Zerply a silly, juvenile sounding name but with all the work that seems to have gone into the site, it certainly holds a lot of promise.
