I was at Fight Comedy at Blu Jazz last night and they used LL Cool J‘s classic “Mama Said Knock You Out” to introduce the comedians. Just hearing the beats brought back some good memories, though the comedy stuff was only so-so.
And kids… this is what good hip hop used to be: gritty and sometimes shitty but never crass.
