The very beautiful QLOCKTWO tells the time like a stuffy Brit

QLOCKTWO is an exceedingly beautiful clock by Biegert & Funk and, at €885 a piece, it is exceedingly expensive too.

‘Nice but expensive’, the eternal consumerist quandary.

The rehabilitation of the beleaguered Large Hadron Collider was on hold tonight after the failure of one of its powerful cooling units caused by an errant chunk of baguette.

I’m fairly certain I recently passed a rather pathetic tipping point, and now own more unread books and unwatched DVDs than my remaining lifespan will be able to sustain… The bastard things are going to outlive me. It’s not fair. They can’t even breathe.

Parents of small children need to watch out for Nooka’s SpongeBob watchIn celebration of SpongeBob’s 10 years of existence (What? He’s been around that long?), the guys at Nooka are coming up with a series of commemorative timepieces, starting with the first piece, the yellow as hell SpongeBob Spongelevator.

I am quite a fan of Nooka’s watch line though I don’t think I’ll be queuing up for this one. And thankfully, The Daughter is not old enough just yet to make me buy stuff.

Nothing personal, former Facebook friends: I’ll miss those wall updates about doing dishes and changing the kitty litter… But most of all, I will miss those hundreds upon hundreds of baby pictures that remind me daily of how insanely happy I am that my kids aren’t babies any more.

Slick and eccentric watches from Mr Jones - this one is called Average Day
Mr Jones makes great looking timepieces that are designed to ‘provoke reflection about the watch and it’s cultural functions’. If you are in the market for a super precise time telling watch that looks great, I believe you’re out of luck with these limited edition watches.

A clock that is powered by nothing more than water and salt!
No batteries needed! Just add water and some salt and it works! You just have to keep adding some salt every couple of days, but this is one clock that works without any electricity at all.

Hello

Most folks who visit random notes seem to hang around for about 9.823 minutes on average.

My name is and I fear my eyesight is failing, which may force me to increase the type size around here.
